Welcome back! How was the previous week for you? If you've been keeping up on my IG @the.mysticalcoach, you'll know that I kicked off a journey designed to help my community grow throughout 2023. As we move deeper into January, it's important not to lose sight of the many ways in which you have control over moving forward in life. The systems may be designed to work against us, but they can never dim our shine.
This week, remember that a new year and new opportunities doesn't mean you should take them all. Not everything that glitters is gold, and it's important to be discerning, especially as so many people are putting money before integrity nowadays. Trust your intuition, and ask critical questions where it counts.
When was the last time you consulted with your friends on an issue that wasn't relationship-related? It's time to collab with them on a creative venture that you've been thinking about for a while. It's time to start thinking of how you can create more. The world deserves your brilliant mind, and that energy doesn't have to be solely focused on building up a venture for an employer.
Have faith in yourself this week. There's a lot of internal conflict regarding your career and following your own path, but until you make a solid decision regarding your future, you're going to have to do double duty. If you don't have the unwavering belief that you can accomplish the things you set your mind to, start reflecting on all the ways you've made big moves in your life. It's possible, so don't let others project their small-minded beliefs onto you as you build.
It gets tough when you feel like the people close to you aren't living as authentically as you are. It's time to cut cords with those who make things more complicated than they need to be. It shouldn't feel like a monumental task to have an honest conversation with someone, nor should you feel weird an icky after an interaction with a "friend." Yes - people go through things, but there is a difference between ill will and experiencing life's tougher moments.
It's time for you to let go of issues that have been troubling you for a while. This isn't about big, traumatic events or things that need ample years to process. It's about the little things that you let fester because you sweep them under the rug. Passive aggression will only make you more miserable. Talk it out if you need to. Ask for help from your therapist if you don't have the tools. But don't suffer in silence.
Many things that you worked on in 2022 will start to reap rewards for you this year! You should be proud of yourself. Many long nights, many tears, coming close to giving up on yourself...all of that hard work was worth it, friend. Make sure you give yourself the permission to celebrate your big wins, and even the small ones. So much progress has been made. Think of where you were on this day, say...8 years ago. Look at that growth!
Don't be concerned with whether or not life is fair this week. Unfortunately, we don't have much control over the hands we're dealt. However, trust that what is yours will always make its way to you. But - in order for you to keep it, you nee to be in a position to receive it fully. How are you blocking your own blessings, and what can you do to clear those pathways for yourself?
There are many beliefs and patterns that aren't serving you well at all, yet you're holding onto them for dear life. Why? In 2023, it's time to stop playing small. Challenge yourself. Push yourself. Yes - there is comfort in that which is familiar, but how do you expect to be a mover and a shaker if you can't even move yourself out of your comfort zone?
You've been all work and no play recently! Even spending time with your family over the holidays wasn't as relaxing as you would have liked. This week, block off your calendar for some personal time. No running errands. No catching up on emails. Just naps, binge-watching your guilty pleasure, and spending time grounding yourself for the next 12 months to come.
This week, reflect on how you show up for both yourself and others. Are you holding onto old baggage that is preventing you from letting new energy in? Sometimes, you have to schedule time to have a crying session on your calendar. There's nothing wrong with letting it all out. You're simply making room for what deserves to take up space in your life.
Sometimes, you have to put your head down and do the work. Things aren't going to magically fall into place because you put it on a vision board. If you want something, you have to meet the Universe halfway. In order to win the lottery, you have to at the very least buy a lottery ticket. Sometimes, even the smallest step can set you up for success.
You don't always have to go against the grain. It's not by force to be "different." Many paths in this life were created so that it'll be easy for others to follow. Work smarter, not harder this week and allow life to work for you. As you begin to plan out your 2023, you'll learn how to flex between those two modes.
